***3 days till Kauai***

I had this idea today to work on a project / compulsive obsessive (non-disorder) photo project. I am not not OCD really. I am the most relaxed person you could ever know. I just wanted to throw the OCD out there because it makes me laugh. I feel like when I hold my camera in my hands, I can breath.  My canon camera is my oxygen tank and oxygen mask. It is my necessity to a complete life. I suppose if you really knew me, you would understand that last statement. So this photo project was a need to relax today. It is my drug like a drug one would take as a relaxant when they are high strung. The need? We leave for a family vacation in three days. I have been running around to get everything done. Today I felt like everything is "completed" and I wanted to have some relaxing time;-) I just can't explain the feeling when I hold my camera in my hands and hear the shutter click. It is like my camera is a family member. I hold such deep love for it.  That may sound completely corny however, like I said; if you knew me, if you could see me writing this at this very moment, my face lights up and my smile is huge. I feel truly blessed to be able to capture the images I have captured in my life and my career.  Today I just wanted to feel centered. I had not used my camera since the 29th of July. Three days! Oh my goodness! That is a long time! :-) Can you hear me giggle from that last sentence? We leave for Kauai in just a few days and this will be our first family vacation of just the four of us! I feel like a little kid even though I am almost 39. I am so excited to have my family in a tropical paradise. I do not have to share my husband or children with any other family member (besides my camera.) This trip is going to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! So with that: Here is a little story of the things we will be bringing or purchasing while we are there;-) Enjoy! This is me! I wanted to share my personal life and excitement with you!
Maddie (my daughter) and I found this dragon fly on the back porch. She said, "Mom, did you know that they only live 24 hours?"
Of course we will need to purchase "OFF" when we get there!
Chapstick belongs to my girls! I swear! My carry on is loaded with their things!
Morgan and Maddie and their piggy bank funds! They each have $200 saved for  the trip.

How I will pass time on the long plane ride.

Their cute chap stick again;-) I do "borrow" it;-)
I am really excited about this! I purchased a Holga for the trip.  I have not shot film in a very long time. Feels great to hold it in my hands ;-)

The pretty pictures on the box it came in.

This is going to be such a blast in Kauai!

Bright "happy" colors! Ohhh... I cannot wait!!

Hello P-R-I-N-C-E-S-S!!! :-)

Ohhhhh F-I-L-M!! How I have missed you!

The plastic camera came with this "O-H S-O-O-O-O-O-O C-U-T-E Book!!!"

Three rolls of film for $14.
