***Half Moon Bay***

On January 19th, 2013, my husband James and I traveled to Half Moon Bay for The Mavericks surf competition. Our weekend away was not just for this event, it was also to visit his Father and Step Mother in Belmont. I must admit that we are not able to see his family as much as we would like due to the distance of where they reside. We miss them and really wish that we could visit them more often! When we heard that the Mavericks would be taking place, we thought, "What a great opportunity! Let's book a hotel! Let's order ticket's for the competition! Let's pre pay for parking! LET'S GO!"

The drive to the bay area was perfect and incredibly smooth! I cannot believe that we did not encounter traffic coming or going! On Sunday morning, we beat the traffic to the Mavericks and even had time for breakfast at a fantastic little place! To top that morning off? We didn't need our pre paid parking and found a spot right across the street from the festivities! Wow! Factor in the amazing weather of about 70 degrees and all was off to a great start!!! To make all of this long story short?

We didn't use our tickets! The line was far too long to hang out in a rent a fence parking lot;-( MAN TALK ABOUT DISAPPOINTMENT! The deciding factor for my hubby to NOT go into the fenced parking lot? The beer line was too long! SMH... MEN! Well... all was not failed! We had amazing weather! We had a clear day! We had plenty of beaches to explore! We were off and vow to obtain connections for next year so that we may fully enjoy the worlds best surfing competition!!

By far the most photographed subject on the pier;-)

Same digital file as the one above. A little "enhancement" with some new software;-)
This had my Husband and I laughing! Titled this for fun, "What do you mean you forgot the beer?"
When in Half Moon Bay, you HAVE to purchase fresh crab! (Well... only if you like crab of course.)
This is as close as I could get to the surf competition.
The colors of this image brings "happiness." I LOVE color!
Why must people deface signs? I don't understand that;-((( With that said, I still LOVE the color of this image!
I want to be in this same spot over looking the sea when I am older;-)
Another perspective of the same sign.
Image above is "enhanced." Image below is straight out of camera. I call this image, "Rebels!" People after my own heart;-) Sometimes it is okay to break the rules! Sometimes!

Image above is Moss Beach.
