When my little Maddie asked to take over my jewelry box, how could I say "No"? She loves saving her little treasures in a special place. She asked what to do with everything in the box. I had her put the contents on my bathroom counter. I wanted to look at what I had not seen in years to reminisce. The purpose of this blog post? One word! Sentimental! I am incredibly sentimental! I cherish everything! Ask yourself this question: "How sentimental is my photographer?" Ask yourself another question: "How important are my memories to my chosen photographer?" One more question to contemplate: "Am I / my event / my portrait session really important to my photographer OR... am I just another dollar?"
Earrings from my BFF Karen for my 21st birthday. She gave these to me with an outfit. We have been friends for 29 years now.
Lite this macro shot with glass, an Alien Bee studio light and soft box.
An earring I wore to a senior ball in highschool.
I used to love to wear a watch. I guess that is because we didn't have cell phones back then to check the time. I never wear one now.
This cufflink belonged to my Papa. When he passed, my Nana sent them to me.
AHHHH... a train ticket from when I lived in Gometz Le Chatel, France. I lived there for one year as an aupair. Those were the wild and carefree days;-)
The Telecarte I used to phone home - USA. I remember calling at 5 in the morning my time and my Mom wondering why I was awake so early. I was actually awake all night in Paris and JUST getting home;-)
I can't remember how long I could speak to the US on 120 Unites. It must not have been long since I paid 50 Franks for the card. ='ed back then? 10 dollars. Now it is Euro.
I was a sophomore in high school when my brother gave me this watch. I was involved with theater and adored the tragedy and comedy masks.
A 3D watch! I thought I was so cool;-)
I remember when I bought this on the streets of Italy when I was 16! 39 now! Wow! Memories!
Awe Italy! I remember refusing to go into another church on that tour. My leather jacket hunt made me miss where Michael Angelo is buried. I STILL laugh about that AND STILL have that jacket;-)
My husband gave this watch to me when we were dating. His corny line that still makes me smile? "Time stands still when I am with you!" We have passed all of the big numbers on the watch face now! We will be together for 15 years this coming April! Time flies!
Sterling Silver and tarnished!
My Papas' tie clip.
The moon & star? Earrings;-) I was really into glitz. I would rather have a new lens or software over glitz anyday now.
